  • Like most things in life, membership isn’t free – but for our reasonable annual membership fee, you get a lot for your money.

Reasons to Join our Society

  • Attend monthly meetings featuring knowledgeable and engaging local, regional, and national speakers offering a wide range of foundational and innovative genealogy topics.
  • Attend monthly training sessions and Special Interest Group meetings that take a deeper dive into a variety of research areas, including our popular Tech Talk series. Sessions allow members to explore topics in greater depth, get help with research problems, and meet with other members.

  • Our self-paced Genealogy 101 – 4 session Beginners’ series

Meetings

  • Our meetings are held virtually on Zoom, so members can join us from around the U.S. and beyond.
  • We offer 12 monthly meetings and 10 training or Special Interest Group meetings each year.
  • Many meetings are recorded and available in the Members Only section of our website – 24/7.

Membership Dues

Annual membership runs from September 1 – August 31 each year. New memberships received between July 1st through August 31st, will be for the next calendar year.  Membership rates are currently:

• $35 for an individual membership
• $50 for a couple of the same household
• $500 for Lifetime membership

(For the purpose of memberships, “Couple” is defined as a person with their spouse or significant other living at the same address. “Lifetime” is defined as any one person taking a lifetime membership.)

Join/Renew Online: Simply click on the PayPal button and follow the on-screen directions. You do not need a PayPal account to use this PayPal feature.  All you need is a debit or credit card.  We will send you a separate email with instructions on accessing the Members Only section of our website.
